I had the pleasure of working with the incredible Vince Nguyen [link] here at Blue Sky on this piece! This sculpture is based on his character he designed for a children’s book. (I'll try scanning in the drawing I used to create this scupt) I must say, these talented folks I work with in the design dept. sure keep me busy with all these "SIMPLE" designs. Hard and time consuming to sculpt, but so fun nonetheless!

The helmet is detachable.

Stands about 7 inches
Lots of sanding, though could be sanded lots more..ah well.

Dead on model to the artwork! Isn't it always that way? The simpler the character, the harder it is to pull it off! Gorgeous! I'll bet the subtle features of the boys face kept you busy [at least for a little while!].

I checked out the illustration and what perfect timing to cause i needed examples of childrens book illustrations cause im tackling my first 0.0
LOVED it! lol and loved teh fact that hes riding a dodo bird! <3
Definatly going to check out that book
